D-rings and shackles: the rating is the product
Everything else in a recovery kit is rope and webbing. The shackle is the metal link that everything else pulls against, and it is the part that becomes a projectile when something exceeds what it was built for.
Buy on working load limit, not on looks. A screw-pin bow shackle is the traditional answer and needs its pin checked before every pull. A soft shackle is synthetic, weighs almost nothing, cannot damage a body panel when it lets go, and is the reason most people stop carrying steel. Rated recovery points bolted to the frame are what either one attaches to. A tie-down loop is not a recovery point.

Pin size, mount fit and why these are not vehicle parts
Pin diameter has to suit the hole in your bumper or mount, and the shackle body has to clear whatever it is threaded through. Both are published numbers; neither is guessable from a photo.
