Gladiator shocks: the bed changes the rear
The Gladiator uses Wrangler axles and then puts a bed behind them, and the rear shock absorber has a different job because of it. A Jeep carrying weight over the rear axle asks more of the damper than one that is not, and this truck is set up to haul rather than to articulate as freely as a two-door.
The front is more familiar territory. Solid axle, long travel, and a unit sized to the lift rather than to the model year — a shock built for stock ride height runs out of stroke on a lifted one. Individual dampers and matched sets both quote a lift range for that reason, and a 2.5 inch build takes different parts from a 4 inch one. Front shocks and rear shocks are listed separately as well as together, and every item here names the years and the height it suits. That is 34 items in all.
