LED pods and cube lights: small housing, specific job
A light pod is not a small light bar. It exists to do one job in one place: ditch lights that show you the edge of the trail, reverse lights that make backing a trailer possible, rock lights that show where the tire is about to land.
That is why beam pattern matters more than lumens here. A spot pod throws distance from a housing the size of a fist. A flood pod fills the space beside the truck and is useless at any speed. Buy the pattern for the job, not the brightest thing that fits the bracket, and expect to run more than one pattern on a finished build.

Mounting pods without drilling the truck
Most pods are sold bare, and the bracket is a separate decision. A-pillar, bumper, hood-hinge and roof mounts are vehicle-specific, and the good ones use factory holes rather than asking you to drill a fender.
Wiring is the other half: a relay, an inline fuse and a switch that will not backfeed the ignition. Check your local rules before fitting anything forward-facing on the road.
