The C-notch is the part to understand before ordering: it is a modification to the frame rail that lets the axle travel up without hitting it. That is fabrication, not bolt-on.

A big rear drop runs the axle out of room, and a C-notch cuts and reinforces the frame rail to give it back — so this kit assumes welding rather than spanners. The drop range is 2 to 6 inches with double-adjustable damping, described as a mid application. Coverage is the Chevrolet C10 Pickup from 1963 to 1972, the C10 Panel from 1963 to 1967 and the C10 Suburban from 1967 to 1972, three bodies with three different spans. An install guide is available.
