Rear Cargo Tailgate, fitment-checked
Rough Country 97066 is a rear cargo tailgate for the Can-Am Maverick Sport and Maverick Trail, covering model years from 2019 through 2026 depending on the variant. Powder-coated steel construction stands up to trail use, and multiple anchor points let you strap gear down in the cargo bed. It bolts on with no drilling or cutting.
Fitment spans the Maverick Sport 1000, Sport 1000R DPS, Sport 1000R X mr and X rc, plus the Maverick Trail 800 and Trail 1000 families. Check the fitment table for the exact year range on your machine, since coverage varies by model. The tailgate closes off the rear cargo area so loose gear stays put, and the anchor points give you fixed tie-down positions instead of improvising with the frame. Plan on 1-2 hours in the driveway with hand tools. A downloadable step-by-step installation guide is available.
