Rear D-Ring Shackle Mount Kit, fitment-checked
Rough Country 73117 adds rear recovery shackle mounting to the 2024–2025 Toyota Tacoma. It clamps to the factory rear cross member with no drilling and uses a laminated plate build — 1/2-inch steel inner plate, 7ga outer, on a 1/4-inch main mounting plate. It accepts shackles with 7/8-inch threaded pins and is for recovery use only. Hybrid Tacomas require relocating the passenger-side speaker.
Fitment covers 2024–2025 Tacoma trims from SR and SR5 through TRD Off-Road, TRD Pro, Trailhunter, and Limited, in 4WD, AWD, and RWD form. Installation is a clamp-on job at the rear cross member using 12mm Grade 10.9 hardware, with Rough Country listing roughly 45 minutes of shop time; a downloadable installation guide is available. The mount is finished in black powder coat. Plan the shackle purchase around the 7/8-inch pin size, and note that hybrid models need the passenger-side speaker moved before the kit goes on.
