3-Inch Lift Kit with M1 Shocks, fitment-checked
Rough Country 74540 is a 3-inch lift kit for compatible 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma 4WD trucks, built around an M1 loaded strut pair and a matching M1 monotube shock pair. It does not fit 5-lug wheel trucks, T/X Baja, or TRD Pro models, all of which come with a 1-inch factory lift. Minor cutting is part of the job.
This 3-inch lift kit for the 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma 4WD ships as a kit: one M1 loaded strut pair valved for the 3-inch height, one M1 monotube shock pair for the rear, and the 745 strut kit box. The front end comes up to level with the rear and opens room for tires up to 33 inches. Rough Country lists the work as bolt-on with a 2-4 hour estimate, plus minor cutting. On trucks with a two-piece rear driveshaft, plan on a carrier-bearing drop bracket. A downloadable installation guide is available.
