N3 is Rough Country's everyday damper, and the ten-stage variable valving is the reason it works across mixed use: the damping rate changes with shaft speed, so small inputs are absorbed softly while a big hit is caught firmly. A high-pressure nitrogen charge keeps the oil from aerating as the shock heats, which is what stops damping fading on a long rough road. This fitment is specific to trucks with 0 to 1 in. of suspension lift, so a lifted Ram needs a different length. They come as a pair. Install is quoted at 1-2 hours and shipping weight is 12.7 lb.
