Bed racks and rooftop tents: sleeping off the ground
A bed rack turns an open truck bed into a platform: for a rooftop tent, a spare tire, traction boards, or a load taller than the cab. It is the single part that makes a truck an overland vehicle rather than a truck with camping gear in it.
Two numbers matter and they are not the same. Dynamic capacity is what the rack carries while you drive; static capacity is what it holds parked, which is the figure a rooftop tent with two people in it needs. Height is the other consideration. A rack level with the cab keeps the airflow tidy and the fuel economy tolerable.

Tonneau compatibility and what it costs you
A bed rack and a tonneau cover want the same rails, and only some combinations coexist. Decide which you need more before buying either, or buy a system designed to carry both.
Expect to lose fuel economy and gain wind noise. A tent on the roofline is a sail. Check the tent's closed height against your garage door before you find out the hard way. We stock 65 bed rack and tent parts from 3 brands.
