Coverage is the Ford Ranger in Lariat and XLT trim, 2024 to 2025. The same two trims as the uncoated system, so the black coating is what separates the pair. Elsewhere in the range a third Ranger number widens the trim list to include XL, which is a different decision again. On a pickup the rear section is visible under the bumper, so the finish is worth choosing rather than defaulting.
