It replaces the restrictive factory airbox with a freer path to the throttle body and a washable filter you can clean and reuse rather than replace. Fits the 3.6L engine only, and it is not for sale in California or other states following CARB rules.
The factory airbox is built around noise targets as much as airflow, and it shows. This intake swaps it for a smoother tube and a larger reusable filter, giving the 3.6L a cleaner path to breathe through and a bit more voice under throttle. Everything mounts in the stock locations with hand tools and a downloadable install guide. Two limits matter before you order: it fits the 3.6L only, and emissions rules put it off the table in California and the states that follow CARB.
