Rough Country RC0403 is a pair of Boomerang shackles for 1976-1995 Jeep CJ5, CJ7, Scrambler, and Wrangler YJ 4WD models. On YJ leaf springs they can be used at the front or the rear for 1 in of lift; on CJ models they are a rear-only application worth 1 3/8 in. Rounded corner shaping is used to keep the shackle body clear of surrounding parts.
These Boomerang shackles fit 1976-1995 Jeep CJ5, CJ7, Scrambler, and Wrangler YJ 4WD leaf-spring setups, covering Base through Sahara, Renegade, Golden Eagle, and the other submodels listed in the fitment section. They bolt in place of the factory shackles, add a modest amount of ride height, and give the leaf packs more room to move and articulate for extra clearance under the axles. Note the application split before ordering: front or rear on YJ, rear only on CJ. Rough Country lists 2-3 hours for the job, and a downloadable installation guide is available.
