Rough Country 501083_A is a pair of N3 loaded leveling struts providing 2 inches of front lift on 2004-2008 Ford F-150 4WD and AWD models, plus the 2004 F-150 Heritage in 4WD. Each strut arrives with the coil already assembled, so the swap is a bolt-on job. These OE-replacement struts are not meant to be stacked with a leveling or lift spacer.
These 2-inch N3 leveling struts fit 2004-2008 Ford F-150 4WD and AWD trims from XL and STX up through King Ranch, Harley-Davidson Edition, and Limited, and also cover the 2004 F-150 Heritage in XL and XLT 4WD form. The N3 body uses a 1 3/8 in bore, nitrogen charging, and application-specific velocity-sensitive valving, with a silver powder coat finish outside and a low-friction oil inside. Because the coil comes pre-loaded, no spring compressor step is involved. Do not pair them with a leveling or lift spacer; match the strut to the lift height instead. Feed install time: 2-3 hours.
