These N3 rear shocks fit the 1983–2011 Ford Ranger 4WD and RWD across the submodels listed in the fitment section, from Base and XL up through FX4, Splash, Sport, STX, and XLT. The lift requirement is the deciding factor: they suit trucks with 5.5-7 in of suspension lift only, not stock-height or mildly leveled Rangers. The N3 design uses 10-stage variable valving, a 35mm piston in a 54mm body, and a chromed 18mm rod, with nitrogen charging to limit fade on long washboard runs.
