Tundra lift kits: coilovers up front, a rear that changed
The Tundra has always lifted from a front coilover, so the height comes out of a taller spring or a complete strut assembly, and the front end finds the end of its travel sooner than a beam-axle truck does. That is why most of what fits this truck is measured in an inch or so rather than in the numbers a solid-axle rig will take.
The rear is where the generations part company. The older trucks sit on leaf springs and take blocks and add-a-leafs; the current one is coil-sprung, and a kit written for the leaf truck has nothing back there to bolt to. Rear shocks and, on the taller kits, upper control arms are what get bought alongside.
