To ensure adequate clearance when lowering the differential models equipped with a mass damper on the front differential must be removed. M1 monotube damping front and rear, wrapped around a 3.5-inch knuckle lift for 2007–2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD. The knuckles are cast steel and the factory control arms stay put. Aftermarket control arms rule the kit out, the 2007 Classic body style is not covered, and cutting and grinding are part of the installation.
This 3.5-inch lift kit for the 2007–2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD builds the front end on M1 loaded struts and adds an M1 monotube shock pair at the rear, so damping is matched end to end. Cast steel knuckles do the lifting, which keeps the factory suspension in service and raises the CV axle clear of the lower control arm. Expect cutting and grinding during installation; a downloadable installation guide is available. The kit does not cover 2007 Classic trucks or any truck fitted with aftermarket control arms, and factory wheels need a 0.25-inch spacer, part 1065.
