To ensure adequate clearance when lowering the differential models equipped with a mass damper on the front differential must be removed. Four Vertex 2.5 shocks — adjustable up front, matched units at the rear — sit under this 3.5-inch lift for 2007–2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD trucks. Cast steel knuckles set the height while the front geometry stays close to stock. Not for 2007 Classic trucks or anything running aftermarket control arms.
Rough Country's 3.5-inch lift for the 2007–2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD, specified here with Vertex 2.5 damping: two adjustable front units and two rears valved for this height. The lift itself comes from cast steel lower-control-arm knuckles rather than a taller spring, which keeps the front geometry close to factory and moves the CV axle clear of the lower arm. Cutting and grinding are required, and a downloadable installation guide is available. Confirm the truck is not a 2007 Classic and is not running aftermarket control arms; keeping the factory wheels calls for a 0.25-inch spacer, part 1065.
