Grand Cherokee shocks: air suspension changes it all

The Grand Cherokee is independently sprung at both ends, so its shocks and struts are working with a car-like suspension rather than a solid axle, and the ride is more sensitive to what you fit than a pickup's is. Damping slightly too firm is noticeable here in a way it simply is not on a work truck.

The question that decides the parts list is whether the vehicle has the height-adjustable air system. Those carry their own air struts and cannot take conventional replacements, and the listings say so rather than leaving it to be discovered mid-job.
