Rough Country 77130 lifts the 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner 3 inches, front and rear, using strut extensions that do not preload the coil springs. No strut disassembly or strut compressor is needed. N3 shocks are valved for the application and the rear units use recoil cut-off construction. This is a replacement front strut option — not for 4Runners fitted with the factory upgraded front strut.

A 3-inch lift for the 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner in Base, SR5 and Limited trim, 4WD or RWD. It works by strut extension rather than spring replacement, so the coil springs are not preloaded and no strut disassembly or strut compressor enters the picture — most of the job is bolt-on. The front comes up to meet the rear, evening out the factory rake, and application-valved N3 shocks handle damping, with recoil cut-off construction on the rear units. One compatibility note: this Rough Country replacement front strut option is not intended for 4Runners that left the factory with the upgraded front strut.
