Rough Country 23440 is a 6-inch lift kit for 2WD Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks, 1999–2007, including HD and Classic applications. Two pairs of M1 Monotube shocks and a driver- and passenger-side knuckle set ship with the kit. It fits 6-lug wheels only, and it does not fit 2004-2006 trucks using torsion bar front suspension.
This 6-inch lift kit for the 1999–2007 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 2WD covers Base, LS, LT, SS, WT, SL, SLE, SLT, HT and Hybrid trims, plus the 1999-2000 C1500. Check two things first: the truck must run 6-lug wheels, and torsion bar front suspension on 2004-2006 models is not supported. Trucks with factory 17-inch wheels need replacement wheels of 17 inches or larger. The bill of materials lists a knuckle set and two M1 Monotube shock pairs.
