Rough Country 23640 is a 6-inch lift kit for 2007–2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4WD and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD/AWD trucks, built around an M1 loaded strut pair and an M1 monotube shock pair. Minor cutting and drilling are part of the job, and wheels must measure 18 inches or larger to clear the supplied knuckles. It does not fit 2007 "Classic" trucks.
This 6-inch lift kit for the 2007–2013 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 ships as five boxed sub-assemblies: knuckles, a high-clearance crossmember box, the 6in universal kit box, an M1 loaded strut pair, and an M1 monotube shock pair. Fabricated rear blocks address axle wrap, and the struts do not need to be disassembled during the install. AWD trucks call for an aftermarket driveshaft, part number 5083.1, to address post-lift vibration. Clearance allows 295/60R20 tires on factory 20-inch wheels.
