These N3 rear shocks for the 1981–1985 Jeep Scrambler 4WD suit Base, Laredo, Renegade, SL, and SR submodels running 6 in of suspension lift; they are not intended for stock-height or other lift heights. Each shock uses 10-stage variable valving with a 35mm piston, a 54mm body for heat dissipation, and a chromed 18mm rod rated to 36kN tensile strength, running nitrogen-charged with military-spec fluid rated to -40 degrees Celsius. Rubber bushings and metallic silver paint round out the build. Rough Country lists installation at 1-2 hours for the pair.
