Black Max Shock for Stock-Height Jeep Wrangler JK

Black Max Shock, fitment-checked

The stock-height JK shock. Skyjacker lists this one at 0 in. of lift or drop, so it is a damping replacement for a Wrangler still sitting where Jeep left it rather than part of a lift. It measures 22.30 in. extended and 13.52 in. collapsed.

Not every shock in the Black Max range assumes a lifted Jeep, and this is the one that does not: the part records 0 in. of lift or drop. That makes it the right choice for a JK on factory springs whose original dampers are worn out, where fitting a lift-height shock would leave the suspension topping out early. Dimensions are 22.30 in. extended and 13.52 in. collapsed, with the black boot the series is named for. Coverage is the 2007-2017 Wrangler and the 2018 Wrangler JK in Sport, Sahara and Rubicon.
