Tuners and monitors: the gauge is worth more than the tune
Most owners buy a tuner for power and get the most value from the monitor built into it. Transmission temperature, coolant temperature, boost and exhaust gas temperature are numbers a factory dashboard mostly does not show, and they are what tells you a truck is in trouble before it fails.
A speedometer calibrator is the other honest purchase here. Fit larger tires and the speedometer under-reads, the odometer under-counts, and the transmission shifts at the wrong road speed. Recalibrating fixes all three, and it is the one change every lifted truck on bigger tires actually needs.
