Trucks with power seats take the kit under the passenger seat; with manual seats, either front seat works.
This under-seat air compressor kit fits 2005–2023 Toyota Tacoma pickups in both RWD and 4WD, from Base and SR trims through TRD Pro, Trail Special Edition, and X-Runner. The seat riser lifts the cushion 1.25 in and carries the compressor tray beneath it, so the twin-motor 12V unit and its 6.16 CFM output sit out of the bed and out of the way. Seat type decides the side: powered seats require the passenger side, manual seats allow either.
