About this part
1/8-Inch Steel Fender Delete Kit, fitment-checked
Pulling the flares off a 2007-2017 Wrangler leaves a raw edge; this kit covers it with laser-cut 1/8-inch plate steel shaped to follow the body line, finished in black powder coat. Going without the flare is what frees up travel and clearance at the wheel opening. Figure 2-3 hours for the install.
Cut for the 2007-2017 Wrangler in 4WD and RWD — Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Rubicon, X, Unlimited, and the 70th and 75th Anniversary trims. The plate is 1/8-inch steel, laser cut so the edge follows the contour of the body rather than standing off it, then powder coated black. Deleting the flare is what buys the extra travel and tire clearance; this gives that change a finished edge instead of a bare one. Rough Country recommends a nutsert tool, part 10583. Install runs 2-3 hours and a downloadable guide is available. Shipping weight is 28.0 lb.
