This 2.5 inch leveling kit works the torsion bars rather than the struts: torsion bar keys re-index the front suspension of 1997–2003 Ford F-150 4WD trucks in Base, XL, XLT, Lariat, and King Ranch trim, bringing the nose up level with the bed. Everything bolts on with no special modifications. A torsion bar removal tool — Rough Country part 1067 — makes the job easier, and the listed install time is 2-3 hours.
