Choosing a kit
Ram 1500 lift kits for the Dodge-era trucks
The Ram 1500 of these years does not share a front end with its heavy-duty siblings. The 2500 and 3500 kept a solid front axle while the 1500 ran independent front suspension, so a lift kit listed for a three-quarter-ton truck of the same vintage will not transfer, and neither will its coil springs. Get that wrong and nothing lines up.
Height is the other decision. A modest leveling kit works with the arms already on the truck and is the usual starting point. The taller kits here reach 5.5 inches and bring upper control arms and a drop bracket crossmember with them, because at that height the front geometry has to be relocated rather than stretched. Every kit here is matched to Ram's application data for these years, and each product page prints the cabs and drivetrains the manufacturer excludes. That is 28 kits in all.
