Rough Country 698.20 is a 4-inch lift kit for the 1999–2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ, built around lifted coil springs, fixed lower control arms with drop brackets, and a 4in N3 shock kit. It does not fit V8 models, Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, or Quadra-Drive models, or Jeeps using a rzeppa-joint front driveshaft.
This 4-inch lift kit for the 1999–2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee covers Laredo, Limited, Sport, and Special Edition applications shown in the fitment section, plus the 1999–2001 Cherokee Limited listing. The front package adds lifted coils, fixed lower control arms with drop brackets, a pitman arm, track bar drop bracket with uni-body brace, transmission crossmember spacers, and an N3 steering stabilizer; the rear uses lifted coils with an upper control arm bracket, sway-bar brackets, and a shock relocation kit. Rough Country lists roughly 6-8 hours of install time. On a CV-style front driveshaft, driveline vibration is possible and may call for driveshaft or yoke changes.
