Rough Country 27940 is a 6-inch lift kit for the 2002-2006 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500, 2000-2006 Chevrolet Suburban 1500, and 2000-2006 GMC Yukon XL 1500. The kit box carries an M1 Monotube shock pair, driver and passenger knuckles, a crossmember kit, and rear lift components. Frame bracket modification is required, wheels must measure 17 inches or larger, and models with the auto ride / auto-leveling setup are not covered.
This 6-inch lift kit fits the 2002-2006 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500, 2000-2006 Chevrolet Suburban 1500, and 2000-2006 GMC Yukon XL 1500 in the drivetrain and trim combinations shown in the fitment list, from SL and LS through Denali and LTZ. Torsion bars stay in their factory position. Plan on modifying the frame brackets during installation, and confirm your wheels are 17 inches or larger before ordering; a torsion bar removal tool (1067) makes the job easier.
