Muffler Skid Plate, fitment-checked
Rough Country 779 is a muffler skid plate for the 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler in both 4WD and RWD form, covering Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Rubicon, X, the Unlimited variants, and the 70th and 75th Anniversary editions. It is formed from 3/16-inch plate steel and bolts into place to shield the muffler from trail debris. It fits the factory muffler only.
This muffler skid plate for the 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler puts 3/16-inch plate steel between your exhaust and the rocks, logs, and ruts that usually find it first. Fitment spans 4WD and RWD Wranglers across Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Rubicon, X, Unlimited, and Anniversary-edition trims. Mounting is bolt-on, and Rough Country lists the job at 1-3 hours, so it is a reasonable driveway afternoon. One qualifier matters before you order: the plate is designed around the factory muffler and will not work with an aftermarket exhaust. A downloadable installation guide is available for the hardware layout.
