About this part
V2 Steering Stabilizer, fitment-checked
Rough Country 8731970 is a V2 steering stabilizer for the 2007–2017 Jeep Wrangler in 4WD and RWD form, covering Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Rubicon, X, the Unlimited versions, and the 70th and 75th Anniversary trims. It fits only Wranglers already running a suspension lift of 2 inches or more — stock-height Jeeps are not covered.
This V2 steering stabilizer for the 2007–2017 Jeep Wrangler mounts to lifted Jeeps only: the vehicle needs at least 2 inches of suspension lift, and stock-height models are excluded. Rough Country lists the install as a bolt-on job with no cutting or drilling, and the feed puts the work at 1 hours. On the road and on the trail, the damper is intended to firm up steering response, take the edge off feedback from rutted terrain, and reduce load on tie rods and ball joints. A downloadable installation guide is available. Shipping weight: 12 lb.
