About this part
V2 Steering Stabilizer, fitment-checked
Rough Country 8734970 is a V2 steering stabilizer for the 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler in 4WD and RWD form, covering Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Rubicon, X, Unlimited, and Anniversary submodels. It fits only Wranglers already running 2 inches or more of suspension lift — stock-height trucks and aftermarket axles using a 3-inch diameter tube are not supported.
This V2 steering stabilizer for the 2007-2017 Jeep Wrangler 4WD and RWD bolts into place without cutting or drilling, and Rough Country lists the job at 1-2 hours. It is aimed at Wranglers that have already been lifted: a minimum of 2 inches of suspension lift is required, stock-height Jeeps are excluded, and axles with a 3-inch diameter tube will not work. Damping at the steering linkage is intended to settle feedback from rough ground and reduce bump steer while easing load on tie rods and ball joints. A downloadable installation guide is available.
