About this part
Drop Pitman Arm, fitment-checked
A pitman arm for the early Ford 4WDs at 4-6 in. of lift: the Bronco Wagon from 1966-1979, the 1976 F-100 and the 1977-1979 F-150. Lifting a solid-axle truck this far leaves the drag link running at an angle the steering box was never set up for.
Steering geometry is the part of a lift that shows up last and matters most. On these early Fords the factory pitman arm holds the drag link nearly level at stock height; raise the truck 4-6 in. and that angle steepens until the steering starts fighting the suspension. Skyjacker's FA300 corrects it. Coverage is the 1966-1979 Bronco Wagon, the F-100 for 1976 and the F-150 from 1977-1979, all in 4WD. A single bolt-on component rather than a kit, so it suits a truck that already has its lift.
