The shallow-lift pitman arm in Skyjacker's older Ford range, listed at 2-3 in. : a band where many builders assume no steering correction is needed. Coverage is the 1977-1979 F-250 and the 1979 F-350 in 4WD.
Not every lift needs a dropped pitman arm, but the threshold is lower than most people expect, and Skyjacker lists this one from 2 in. up. It covers a narrow window of heavy-duty Ford: the F-250 from 1977-1979 and the F-350 for 1979, both in 4WD. If your truck sits higher than 3 in. this is the wrong part. The range has arms cut for taller builds. At 5 lb boxed it is a small component with a direct effect on how the truck tracks.
