About this part
Pitman Arm, fitment-checked
Built for the old CJ crowd: 1976–1983 CJ5, 1976–1986 CJ7, and 1981–1985 Scrambler in 4WD, running 2.5in to 4in of suspension lift with power steering. Bolting it on restores drag link alignment after the lift, keeps the turning radius near stock, and calms steering vibration.
Fitment is the short-wheelbase Jeep lineup: CJ5 from 1976 through 1983, CJ7 from 1976 through 1986, and the Scrambler from 1981 through 1985, all 4WD. Two conditions gate it — the Jeep needs power steering, and suspension lift has to fall between 2.5in and 4in. Outside that range it is not a listed fit. Trim coverage runs across Base, Renegade, Laredo, Golden Eagle, Limited, and the SL and SR Scramblers. The job takes roughly 2-3 hours, and a downloadable Rough Country installation guide is available to work through it.
