Rubicon models do not need a SYE kit or transfer case drop but a CV driveshaft is still recommended. Exhaust will have to be cut and rerouted to make sure it is away from the moving components. Unlimited models only — this long arm kit fits the 2004–2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ Unlimited in 4WD, and no other TJ. Front and rear both get upper and lower adjustable arms, with control arm mounting brackets and a Rubicon compressor bracket up front and a track bar drop bracket out back. The exhaust has to be cut and rerouted clear of the new hardware, and it is a full day in the driveway at 8-9 hours.
Everything here is aimed at articulation: X-Flex arms with greasable flex joints on a 2.5 in body and 1.25 in thread, upper joints pivoting up to 20 degrees and lowers up to 35, plus high-clearance lower control arms. Before you start, plan the driveline. A slip yoke eliminator with a CV driveshaft is recommended to keep vibration down; Rubicon TJs skip the SYE and the transfer case drop but still want the CV shaft. The exhaust needs cutting and rerouting away from moving components. Hardware is included at both ends of the vehicle.
