✓ Fits
Fits stock through 6" of suspension lift. Models at stock height through 2.5" of suspension lift will need to install the drag link to the bottom side of the pitman arm. Ball joint must be greased prior to use. Factory pitman arm or OE replacement arm and the use of a 3.5"-Up track bar bracket is required for the high steer kit option. Cannot run a drop pitman arm. Factory steering stabilizer must be removed prior to installation. Kit includes components for stabilizer mounting stabilizer sold separately. Due to the oversized tie rod this kit does NOT work with Rough Country dual steering stabilizer kits. Fitment on this page is based on the manufacturer’s application data.
About this part
HD Steering Kit, fitment-checked
A heavy-duty tie rod and drag link set for the 2007–2017 Jeep Wrangler, covering stock height through 6 inches of suspension lift. The tie rod link measures 42mm (1.65-inch) and the drag link is forged 1.25-inch steel, with wrench flats built in for adjustment. From stock through 2.5 inches of lift, the drag link mounts to the underside of the pitman arm. The factory steering stabilizer must come off first; stabilizer mounting components are included, the stabilizer is not.
This kit swaps the factory tie rod and drag link on the 2007–2017 Jeep Wrangler for solid forged pieces — a 42mm (1.65-inch) tie rod link, a 1-5/8-inch solid steel tie rod, and a 1.25-inch forged drag link with matching 1.25-inch tie rod ends. Ball studs are heat-treated 4140 steel and the joints are greaseable, though they need grease before the first drive. A few install rules matter: no drop pitman arm, and the high steer option requires a factory or OE pitman arm plus a 3.5-inch-and-up track bar bracket. It will not work alongside Rough Country dual steering stabilizer kits.
