A long arm conversion for 1993–1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD and 1993–1995 Jeep Cherokee 4WD. The front and rear boxes carry adjustable upper and lower control arms, long arm frame brackets, a 0.25-inch crossmember, transfer case skid plate, sway-bar quick disconnects, 3-inch bumpstops, track bar and brake line brackets, and hardware. AWD models are excluded, and the skid plate will not clear a 249 transfer case.
This long arm upgrade kit rebuilds the control arm geometry on the 1993–1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD, swapping the short factory arms for long arms that hold alignment as the suspension cycles. The X-Flex joints run a 2.5-inch body on a 1.25-inch thread and stay greaseable, with upper joints swinging up to 20 degrees and lower joints up to 35 degrees. Installation is involved: the exhaust has to be cut and rerouted around the new hardware, AWD models are excluded, and the supplied skid plate will not clear a 249 transfer case.
