About this part
Control Arm Drop Kit, fitment-checked
For 1984–2001 Jeep Cherokee builds already sitting on 4.5in or more of suspension lift, this kit lowers the control arm mounting points to pull the arms back toward a workable angle. Bolt-on, with some drilling required. Do not use it on lifts shallower than 4.5in.
A tall lift steepens the control arm angle, and that angle is what a drop kit exists to fix. This one applies to 1984–2001 Jeep Cherokee models in 4WD and RWD, across Base, Sport, Laredo, Limited, Country, Classic, Pioneer, Chief, Briarwood, and SE trims. The threshold is firm: at least 4.5in of suspension lift. Installation is bolt-on, though minor drilling is part of it, so plan for a drill and sharp bits alongside hand tools. Figure 3-4 hours, and the downloadable Rough Country installation guide covers placement.
