Rough Country 43030 is a 4-inch lift kit for the 1983-1997 Ford Ranger 4WD, built around lifted front coil springs, radius arm and I-beam drop brackets, a power steering pitman arm, rear 3-inch blocks with U-bolts, and two N3 shock pairs. It does not fit trucks with manual steering, and it does not fit 87-88 trucks carrying the High Rider STX package.
This 4-inch lift kit for the 1983-1997 Ford Ranger 4WD covers Base, Custom, S, S Plus, STX, Splash, Sport, XL, XL Sport, XLS, and XLT submodels. The front uses lifted coil springs with radius arm and I-beam drop brackets plus a power steering pitman arm to reset caster and hold factory-like steering feel; the rear rides on 3-inch blocks with new U-bolts and hardware. N3 shocks are included front and rear. Trucks with a front sway bar should add drop brackets. Plan on 6-8 hours, and pull the downloadable Rough Country installation guide before you start.
