To ensure adequate clearance when lowering the differential models equipped with a mass damper on the front differential must be removed. Rough Country 29833 is a 7-inch lift kit for compatible 2014-2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD trucks, built around a loaded strut pair and an N3 shock pair. Cutting and drilling are part of the job. It does not fit trucks with stamped steel control arms, Denali models with Magnetic Ride Control, or the eAssist (ECO Hybrid) package.
This 7-inch lift kit for the 2014-2016 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 4WD ships as a full package: crossmembers, a control arm drop kit, front and lower skid plates, a fabricated 7-inch rear block box, a loaded strut pair, and an N3 shock pair. Factory track width is retained and factory 20-inch wheels can stay on the truck. Before ordering, identify whether your stock control arms are cast aluminum, cast steel, or stamped steel, and note that a front differential mass damper must come off for driveshaft clearance. Larger tires call for the Rough Country Speedometer Calibrator, SKU 90009.
