Lowering the mounting point flattens the arm angle a lift steepened, which settles the ride and eases the strain on the drive-shaft. Fits models with 3.5 of suspension running stock control arms.
Lift a Jeep and the control arms end up pointing downhill from the frame, which shortens the wheelbase slightly and puts the drive-shaft at an angle it does not enjoy.
