This 4.5-inch lift kit for the 1984–2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4WD covers Base through Limited, Sport, Laredo, Chief, Country, Pioneer, Classic, Briarwood, and SE. Verify the transfer case first: only NP231-equipped Cherokees qualify. The kit is not for the 2.8L V-6 or diesel engines, the AX5 transmission, or 87-89 Jeeps with Peugeot manual transmissions. Long arms, high-clearance lower control arms, X-Flex arms with greasable flex joints, and quick-disconnect sway bar links handle the geometry and articulation side.
