This 4.5-inch lift kit for the 1984–2001 Jeep Cherokee 4WD covers Base through Limited trims, including Chief, Laredo, Pioneer, Sport, and Country. Only Jeeps equipped with the NP231 transfer case qualify: the kit rules out 2.8L V-6 and diesel engines, the AX5 transmission, and 87-89 Peugeot manual transmissions. The forged track bar is rated for a 4-6.5 inch lift range and the rear shackles cover 1.5 inch-2 inch of rear height, so plan the ride-height and alignment work accordingly.
