About this part
Adjustable Front Track Bar, fitment-checked
Rough Country 1179 pulls the front axle back to center on 2007–2017 Jeep Wrangler models carrying 2.5 to 6in of suspension lift. The bar is forged from solid steel at 1.25in outside diameter, rides on OEM-style rubber bushings, and can be adjusted with the bar still bolted to the Jeep. If a drop pitman arm is already installed, a separate track bar drop bracket (part 1118) is required.
Coverage runs across the 2007–2017 Wrangler line — Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Rubicon, X, the anniversary editions, and their Unlimited counterparts — in both 4WD and RWD. Lift a Jeep and the factory bar leaves the axle sitting off-center; this one is adjustable in place, so the axle can be dialed in without dropping the bar. Plan on 1-2 hours in the driveway. Check whether a drop pitman arm is in the mix first, since that combination calls for the drop bracket. The downloadable Rough Country installation guide walks through the sequence.
