A replacement rack and pinion for Polaris Ranger XP 900 and XP 1000 machines running a three-bolt rack. The knuckle connection shaft measures 22mm, 27% thicker than the factory piece, and the spline diameter goes to 18.8mm, 25% up on stock. Steering comes out at 3.33 turns versus 3.16 from the factory, with 5/8-18 connection threads in place of the OE 1/2-13. The housing is powder-coated and finished in black E-coat.

Fitment on this rack and pinion is narrow and worth checking first: it only works on Polaris Ranger models that use a three-bolt rack, so confirm yours before ordering. Everything about the assembly is scaled up from stock — a 22mm knuckle connection shaft, 18.8mm splines, and 5/8-18 connection threads in place of the factory 1/2-13. Driving torque is rated at 1.5NM against the OE 1.3NM, and steering works out to 3.33 turns rather than 3.16. Hardware for the swap is in the box, and Rough Country lists 2-3 hours with a downloadable installation guide available.
