About this part
CV Drive Shaft, fitment-checked
A front CV (double cardan) drive shaft for the 2012-2017 Jeep Wrangler JK 4WD, Rough Country 5071.1B. It fits Dana 30 and Dana 44 front axles only, and Rough Country recommends it on JKs running 3.5in - 6in of lift. Collapsed 35.5-inches, extended 38-inches, with Brute Force Red seals and grease fittings routed clear of the transmission oil pan.
Fitment is limited to 2012-2017 Jeep Wrangler JK 4WD models with a Dana 30 or Dana 44 front axle, covering Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Rubicon, and the Unlimited and 75th Anniversary variants. Rough Country recommends it on JKs with 3.5in - 6in of lift. The double cardan design addresses the vibration a lifted stock shaft produces, and on automatic transmission models it also ends the contact between the stock shaft and the oil pan. Grease fittings sit away from the pan, so the grease goes into the joints instead of onto the underside of the Jeep.
