On a JL Wrangler, a lift of 3.5 in or taller puts the factory front shaft at risk when the suspension reaches full droop: that is the problem this replacement is built around. It fits Dana 30 front axles only, so confirm your axle before ordering. Collapsed length is 36 3/8 inches, extended is 39 1/2 inches, and the shaft carries upgraded cardan joints at roughly twice factory strength. Grease fittings are routed clear of the transmission pan. The swap runs 2 to 3 hours, and Rough Country publishes a downloadable installation guide for it.
