Four and a half inches for the 1987–1995 Jeep Wrangler in 4WD, on military-wrapped leaf springs — the main leaf wraps the spring eye, which is the detail that matters on a leaf-sprung Jeep worked hard off-road. Power steering is required; manual-steering Wranglers are not covered.
The spring pack is the story here. Front springs give 4.5 inches and rear springs 4 inches, both military-wrapped so the main leaf carries around the eye rather than relying on the bolt alone. An N3 shock box and a kit box of hardware complete it, and no cutting or welding is called for. One requirement gates the whole thing: the Jeep must have power steering.
